
This inaugural technology forum will be held on 1 Febuary 2010, at Swissotel The Stamford, in conjunction with Singapore Airshow 2010. The event will bring together Chief Technology Officers and thought leaders of aerospace technology from companies such as Boeing, Bombardier, EADS, EDB, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce and Singapore Airlines. These distinguished speakers will engage forum delegates on the latest technological developments and share their vision on how corporate and public R&D will shape the future of the aviation industry. Join government officials, military leadership and industry representatives at this two-day event for an in-depth look at new directions for unmanned systems technology. A keynote address will be given by Air Cdre Jan van Hoof, Joint Air Power Competence Center (JAPCC), Germany on 31 January and Capt Robert Dishman, U.S. Navy, Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems (PMA-262), United States on 1 February. Presenters from organizations such as Northrop Grumman, Schiebel, Frost & Sullivan, Sentient Vision Systems, The MITRE Corporation, Simlat, National University of Singapore, the U.S. Navy and more will discuss topics including Maritime Surveillance, Unmanned Ground Operation, Unmanned Combat System, UAS Air Traffic Management and Up-to-the-Moment Outlook for Unmanned Systems Technologies in the Asia-Pacific region. The Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), Singapore’s national authority on defence science and technology and central procurement agency of the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), is holding a Suppliers' Networking Session at the Singapore Airshow 2010 to strengthen and broaden its network of defence suppliers. This networking session is intended for suppliers, especially those new to DSTA, to have a better understanding of our product areas of interest and business practices. This session will also give suppliers the opportunity to market their companies and products, and increase DSTA's awareness of supply sources for future requirements. Suppliers can look forward to meeting DSTA's key management members and Programme Managers for different product lines. This event is expected to draw more than 200 attendees, comprising local and overseas suppliers, defence and military attachés, MINDEF and SAF personnel.
